This policy explains exactly what information Fitlings collects, why, where it is kept, and how you can get rid of it. It is written to describe what the app actually does — nothing more.
1. What we collect
Fitlings only collects information you enter yourself. There is no automatic tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics.

Fitlings does not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or any health data from your phone's sensors. It does not read data from Apple Health or Google Fit.
2. What other people can see
Fitlings has leaderboards, so some information is deliberately visible to others.
Never visible to anyone else: your email address, your password, your age, your height, and your weight.
If you do not want to appear on the World Leaderboard, you can leave it from the Groups tab, or choose a display name that does not identify you.
3. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored using two service providers:
- Supabase — stores your account and your fitness data, in a database hosted in the Canada Central region.
- Netlify — hosts the app itself (the web pages and images).
These providers process data on our behalf so the app can function. Your information is not sold, rented, or traded to anyone, and it is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Deleting your account
- Open Fitlings and sign in
- Go to the Fitling tab
- Scroll to the Profile card and tap Delete my account
- Type DELETE to confirm
This is immediate and permanent. It erases your profile, workouts, steps and login, and removes you from every group and leaderboard. It cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the app for any reason, email fitlingsapp@gmail.com from the address on your account and your account will be deleted for you.
5. How long data is kept
Your information is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, workouts, steps and login are removed from the database. Routine encrypted backups held by our hosting providers may retain copies for a short period before being overwritten in the normal course of operation.
6. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), and comparable laws elsewhere, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information is held about you
- Ask for a copy of it
- Ask for it to be corrected
- Have it deleted (see section 4 — you can do this yourself, instantly)
- Withdraw your consent by deleting your account
To make any of these requests, email fitlingsapp@gmail.com. Requests are answered within 30 days.
7. Children
Fitlings is not intended for children under 13, and accounts should not be created by them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email fitlingsapp@gmail.com and it will be deleted.
8. Security
Accounts are protected by a password, which is stored only in hashed form. Data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and database rules restrict each account so it can only read and write its own data. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but your information is not shared beyond what is described above.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will change with it. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
